JEE Main 2022 Syllabus - Physics, Chemistry, Maths Syllabus
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon be releasing the JEE Main syllabus 2022. The released syllabus details will give candidates information about the topics to be covered for JEE Main 2022 preparation. Like the previous years, the syllabus for JEE Main 2022 will be based on the topics of Class 11 and 12 for Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
Most probably, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE Main 2022 exam in four sessions in the coming year. The sessions are expected to be- February (which is now expected to be delayed & conducted in March due to state polls), March, April, and May.
The JEE Main 2022 paper 1 is usually conducted for admission into the BTech programmes in various NITs, IITs and GFTIs (31, 23, 32 respectively). Paper 2 is conducted for admission in BArch/ BPlan programs.
The syllabus for JEE Main 2022 is expected to be the same as JEE Main 2021 Syllabus. Any changes, if there, will be updated by the NTA on the official website. The Syllabus for 2021 is mentioned below for the ease of students.

JEE Main 2022 Syllabus for Paper 2: Aptitude Test (B.Arch/B.Planning)
For students planning to appear for JEE Main 2022 Paper 2, the important topics are given below:
Part I
Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials. Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build—environment. Visualising three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings. Visualising. different sides of three-dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal).
Part II
Three dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms and elements, colour texture, harmony and contrast. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects. Creating two dimensional and three-dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms.
Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces, ect.), landscape (river fronts, jungles, trees, plants, etc.) and rural life.
Part III (Planning)
General Awareness regarding development issues, government programs/schemes etc., Comprehension, critical thinking and analytical skills, graphs, charts and map reading skills, simple statistics, CBSE class X Social Sciences topics.
JEE MAIN 2022 FAQs
Ques: Has NTA changed the syllabus of JEE (Main) - 2022?
Ans. Till now, the syllabus for JEE Main 2022 is not yet announced by the NTA. However, if considered the speculations, the syllabus for JEE Main 2022 will remain the same as the JEE Main 2021 Syllabus.
For the ease of students preparing for JEE Main 2022, we have provided here the detailed syllabus for the previous year. If there are any changes, the same will be announced on the official website.
Ques: What will be the mode of examination for JEE Main 2022?
Ans: As per the pattern of the previous year, JEE (Main) 2021 Examination will be held in the “Computer Based Test” (CBT) Mode. Only the Drawing Test for B.Arch. will be conducted in “Pen & Paper” (offline) mode.
Ques: Will the syllabus for JEE Main 2022 Paper 1 & 2 be the same?
Ans: The syllabus of JEE Main 2022 Paper 1 and 2 will be different. The NTA will soon be releasing the syllabus for JEE Main 2022.
Ques: Will the JEE Main 2022 have questions from Class XI also?
Ans: Yes, the syllabus for JEE Main consists of topics from both Class XI and Class XII.
Ques: In how many sessions, JEE Main 2022 will be conducted?
Ans: JEE Main 2022 is expected to be held in four sessions (February/ March/ April/ May) like the JEE Main 2021 schedule. But, the February session is expected to be postponed to March due to state polls.
Ques: Why is the JEE Main conducted in 4 sessions?
Ans. Four attempts for JEE Main give students multiple opportunities to improve their scores. If due to one or another reason they fail to do well in any one attempt, they can still have the opportunity to do their best in the next attempt. Moreover, the best score out of all four attempts is calculated. This way, students will not have to drop or waste a year.
